2008 sees St. Bartholomew's church
celebrating the 100th anniversary of the church's opening. To celebrate
this momentous occasion in the Catholic life of the community in Norbury
there are a number of events planned for the Parish Centenary Year.
The parish has adopted two charities to benefit
from its Centenary Year -
St. Christopher's Hospice
and the
The Association for the Propagation of the Faith
Monday 5th May 2008 (12 noon) – Mass with Bishop Paul to
celebrate the opening of our centenary year
Wednesday 14th May 2008 (7.30pm) - Metropolitan Police Male
Voice Choir concert
Sunday 22nd June 2008 – Senior Citizens’ party
Saturday 12th
July 2008 – Celebration of Married Life (St. Andrew's School)
August 2008 – Parish participation in the Southwark Diocesan Pilgrimage
to Lourdes
Monday 29th September 2008 – Centenary Commemorative Mass
with Archbishop Kevin
Saturday 18th October 2008 – Parish Dinner & Dance
