A couple of silly mistakes..... ..... in the Dates List I recently published and gave out. Nothing that warrants a re-issue, but the corrected version is available on our Web site HERE should you wish to print out the revised version. Parables Concert 2015
After struggling to
find additional music for our concert I have realised that Bach's
Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme (Wake, O wake and sleep no longer) Cantata No. 140 nicely references the
parable of the foolish virgins! There's a suitable arrangement in
one of the Willcocks carol books, usefully, but I might need to
find the appropriate English words from the appropriate movement in
the Cantata from elsewhere. Together with The
Good Samaritan and The Pharisee and The Publican, three
hymns and three reading, we should have a worthy concert on our
hands. ..... UPDATE is a bit flung together this month. The older you get the more time flies... as many of you already know! |
