Confirmation Mass 19:00 30 June

Please do remember this as a Choir occasion. We haven't sung at Confirmations for many years, and it's good to be asked to do so again. As you will see from the music list HERE, most of the music is as it was for the First Holy Communion Mass we sang at earlier this month.

Parish Annual General Meeting

Do put 11 October at 19:45 into your diaries. It's an opportunity for all of us to have an input into parish life, and help form the year ahead. The Poly Choir report that will be submitted for the occasion may be read HERE.

Choir Party 2017 20:00 4 July

Many thanks, once again, to Jane organising the food with you all for the occasion. I have been booked for the ham again! Really looking forward to yet another wonderfully happy annual event!

Music Checking 11 July

I'll be in the church from 19:30 ........

The July Jigsaw - a simple one to start off with, with just 48 pieces! Drag and drop, and.... - took me six minutes 28 seconds!

Father Paul writes on 27 June:

I appreciate the cash donation from you and the Choir (£50.00) - something for my holiday in Ghana and the spiritual books to enrich my spirituality. Jesus said in the readings of this morning "the amount you measure out will be the amount you will be given" but you have given over. My response to the choir is that I will try to improve my singing wherever I find myself beginning from Our Lady of Grace - Charlton, my new home. I love you all and promise to keep you in my prayers. Best wishes, Paul Antwi-Boasiako CSSp

Vivaldi Gloria Concert

No apologies for repeating this......... I've only had two or three comments so far:

I would really like us to do a concert with the Orchestra in 2018, and am aware that we have a full set of Vivaldi Gloria scores in our music archive.

What do you think? Perhaps with a Handel Organ Concerto and an orchestral overture.

We would hopefully do this in association with All Saints Carshalton. Timing is a long way from being discussed, let alone agreed. I am currently exploring Saturday 12 May.

I am thinking of opening up the first hour of a number of consecutive Choir practices prior to the occasion to anyone who might like to learn and perform it with us; we may, perhaps, find that some who are enthused would come and then stay on for the remainder of the practices and, in time, join us.

Do let me have your thoughts as soon as possible, please.

Plainchant Choir

Jane will advise you if there is to be a practice for the Plainchant Mass on 17 September.

Cantors

19:45 Practices: Andrew 27 June,  Jeannette 26 September.

Forthcoming Music/Dates List

Confirmations' HERE, July's HERE, September's HERE, Choir's September Thanksgiving Mass HERE and October's HERE. The latest Dates List for your diaries is HERE.

Prayers, please

John Windsor, Terry Jupp's sister Susan, Ken's niece, Carole Winch, Mary & Frank Elliott, Christine, Maria & Family, and Jeannette's mother Hazel all remain in need of prayers.

Please also pray for a private, and most urgent intention.

I'd be very grateful if you would remember  my parents, Sheila and David............. Sheila is currently recovering from a broken wrist.
