Thank you all.....

..... so much for all the hard work you put in ahead of the Holy Week and Triduum services we were involved in. It really paid off, and people were hugely appreciative (as you will have gathered!). I left the Easter Vigil (after hearing Father Innocent telling me that we made him smile with happiness through our music) feeling that the Gloria had been the most absolutely exuberant ever - I was so delighted to hear others saying the same.

Special thanks to Antony for so unexpectedly, and upliftingly, appearing with us to play his part in the Triduum once more.

We now have a term of relative relaxation, and the time to start learning the St. Christopher Mass and re-visiting Kitson's Mass in C Minor. Please do encourage people to join us for the first half hour of our practices, without commitment, to learn the new Mass.

My mind is now moving on to Christmas!

Just saying!!! We need an organist...........

But, before we get there, we have another term's work to do.....

..... as you will know from THIS!

The May Jigsaw - The interior of the church most closely associated with St. Bart's. Drag and drop........!

Have you spotted the little symbol bottom-right beneath the puzzle that allows more space on your screen?

A personal request

Does any have, tucked away somewhere, an old London A-Z road atlas that I might briefly borrow? I'm looking for a copy dating from between 1950 and 1965. Many thanks.

St. Bart's Memories No. 13

I wonder how many of you remember the St. Bartholomew's Catholic Lawn Tennis Club?

The Birthday Boy!

Many thanks to Carole

For your coffee breaks

For those of you with young children or grandchildren this might be an addictive distraction!

The Beeb asks if you could be the Easter Bunny!?

Paul VI and the liturgical reform - he approved it, but didn't like it much.

Do you have a spare bedroom? Antony 'may' be jealous!! Click on the video link for the sound!

What a wonderful story - the seagulls and the pepperoni!

Catholic Commentary is in the the throes of visiting all the UK's cathedrals.

From the Catholic Herald: Why Trappist ale tastes better.

The Britain from Above archive is now free to use - certainly has the wow factor!

An 'off the wall' talk at the Crystal Palace Museum.

Delightful social observations from 1961 - occasionally wry, and well worth a watch! What we'd probably call a 'fly on the wall' documentary these days.

A fascinating, zoomable, Ordnance Survey map covering Norbury. The 1946 edition of the 1938 revisions - note the footnote that goes some way towards explaining what some may have as their first question!!

And finally, the 8th cent. monk who accidentally invented Do-Re-Mi.
