Boring Bishops: I was about to upload this edition of UPDATE when this came to my attention. Absolutely?!! Sometimes?! Definitely not?

The latest Dates List (dated 17 March) may be found HERE.

PLEASE NOTE that there will be no practice on Tuesday 9 April as there will be a Parish Mission service at 19:00 followed by Confessions. Please also note the dates (adding in the Tuesdays) in the run-up to Christmas 2019 in your diaries to avoid embarrassment!

Choir Coffee Mornings

With immediate effect all our future Coffee Mornings are cancelled!! Disappointing...... Father Deo would like to see future Coffee Mornings put on free of charge and the Social Committee has risen to the challenge!

Thank you.....

..... to all of you who listened to, absorbed and then sung again that little Purcell anthem. Wow! We must do more homework in future!!

Prayers, please

John Windsor is now home continuing his recovery. Please do remember him, Jane and the family in your prayers. Likewise Terry Folorunso who will hopefully rejoin us very soon and in time for the Triduum.

Please continue to remember a Choir Member's urgent Private Intention that remains pressing, Ned Kelly (Carole's brother) who is seriously ill, and Terry Jupp's sister Susan.

We pray also for Veronica's sister Monica, Ken's niece Beth and Mary & Frank Elliott.

St. Bart's Memories No. 24

HERE is an intriguing letter to Father Carolin (Parish Priest at St. Bart's from 1963-93) from Father Michael Clifton, the then diocesan archivist.

I have 22 of the 36 churches mentioned in the letter HERE, but unfortunately don't have the full list referred to - can anyone think of the ones I have yet to discover?

Perhaps Richard and Andrew, in putting together the revised Parish History, may have found them?

Last month's answer (from the left):
Fathers Asciack, Porter and Carolin!

For your coffee breaks

The Pontifical Swiss Guard - stunning footage of Rome and the Vatican (watch full-screen!).

Honky Tonk Train on the mighty Wurlitzer.

A history of Cadbury in pictures.

Fascinating, and very short, Inside the Factory clips - most of the full programmes seem to be available for viewing still.

Whatever happened to independent local radio?

The human anatomy underground map.

What is Hauntology?

This is going to be a must-have ride for me when the time comes! Bringing back the Brighton Belle. See also, the return of the Brighton Belle.

Diamond Geezer visits Pollards Hill.
