Thank you!

The whole of the Triduum went very nicely - thank you all very much indeed.

The mess-up in the Gloria on Maundy Thursday was totally my fault, and proved my point that, if you're all watching closely, we should all go wrong together and get together again together! At least three people didn't go wrong - shame on you!!!!!

Something I learned over the Triduum: thanks to Michael, I now know that the organ blowers hum in Eb!!

Thanks also to Michael for the hard work he put into preparing himself for these services. He proved another point on Good Friday - so long as the organ is playing tuning remains relatively stable!!!!

Coming up.....

Please do refer to our latest Dates list. As well as our usual 1st Sunday commitments we have the Bishop's Confirmation Mass on 9 June, and must also also look ahead - I would really like to learn this for our 50th Mass in September. Do have a listen, once or twice. It's in our white book.

There's a very provisional Music List for the occasion HERE. The final provisional list will require approval from the Archbishop.

The May Jigsaw - if you were at the Easter Vigil, then you'll have a head start with this month's challenge!!

Choir Outing 2019

30 June - details to follow!

Have you seen this video on our parish Website!

St. Bart's Memories No. 25

Coming up to four years ago!

For your coffee breaks

The Easter Vigil from Saint-Sulpice in Paris - a wonderful liturgy, though I was quite taken aback at the Communion Anthem to be heard just after two hours and forty minutes!! And the Exsulet from our own St. George's.

Listen to Credo III sung as it should be by the monks of Solesmes who produce the Plainchant Liber Cantualis books we use.

From 1967 - The London Nobody Knows.

A huge grin!!!!

This is an amazingly unusual concert of popular Film Music! Look at the size of the crowd that turned up to hear it!! (The theme to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly features!).

The Nature Reserves of London.

English Cities - well that's that sorted then!

Also from Diamond Geezer; Why Easter wasn't 24 March as might have been expected in 2019. Who knew about the Easter Act 1928?!

Seven Things for the Organist to Do While Counting Bars in The Planets.

It's about time someone produced a decent burger!!

The great Fr. Z on when the Archbishop-oops-"consecrates" whisky instead of wine.

Is this the luckiest penalty you'll ever see?!!

A London Catholic church I wasn't aware of. IanVisits has a lot more churches.
