St. Bartholomew's Polyphony Choir UPDATE OCTOBER 2019

Choir's 50th Birthday Mass and Celebration

What an absolutely wonderful day it was! Thanks to you all so much for such wonderful singing. You really rose to the occasion. Thanks, also, to our cantors, who were absolutely spot on! Isn't our new Archbishop just brilliant! The new Archbishop was an absolute delight and his words at the homily were so appropriate, well judged and appreciated (as were Father Deo's before Mass, although those of you under 55 might disagree!!). Thanks also to John Taylor who so kindly agreed to take photographs throughout the day - we hope to see them shortly

Afterwards, Mark did us proud in the kitchen and laid on an absolutely superb spread that was hugely lauded. It was just lovely to see old friends again, especially Anne who travelled up and back from deepest Somerset for the occasion. What a great celebration!!

Christmas 2020

Our Christmas Concert this year will make more use of the piano. We'll be welcoming a wind quintet from the Orchestra to add some spice, and, of course the organ will still play a significant part in proceedings. I shall stay(?!) fit by running up and down the stairs to the gallery!

The updated draft music list for the Christmas Concert, Christmas Midnight Mass and Epiphany may be found HERE. We shall have to see how we get on; we might have to make one or two changes as time goes by. We'll see!

The October Jigsaw A very well known image from our church....?
