St. Bartholomew's Polyphony Choir UPDATE  APRIL 2020

Hello strangers! Doesn't it seem surreal without Masses and Choir Practices? It's Tuesday as I write, during Choir Practice time, but I had to check!!

Do keep an eye on the Parish Website - Father Tomas seems to be insistent we are not spared his homilies, Father Deo has written words, there is loads of information and links to keep you, and our fellow parishioners with internet access, informed. A potentially major difficulty for the parish (and the Archdiocese) is the loss of income the current situation presents, so do look out for things financial to pop up in the days ahead.

Stay safe. You all remain in my prayers. Tony x

The April JigsawThe Fourteen Holy Helpers - trickier one, as most of you have more time at home!

At a time of difficulty for many (and I type these words on Mothering Sunday) I feel it is only caring of me to pass on this quite stern advice to mothers of young children. I think particularly of Deirdre and Molly, but also remember the grandmothers among you all with grandchildren.

Mothering Sunday was noted by Father Tomasz on the parish Website, which was thoughtful of him.

Prayers, please

Please thank God that the Choir Member's urgent Private Intention that we have prayed for for so long has been so happily answered.

Prayers for Doris Purnell (also known as Vicky), Clare's 95 year-old mother who has just moved from hospital after a serious illness to a care home and Suzanne's Mum who currently very unwell in a nursing home in Ireland. We continue to pray for Maria's recovery, Veronica's husband Graham and sister Monica, Ken's niece Beth, Mary & Frank Elliott and my Mum & Dad, Sheila and David. With visiting the sick and needy being so difficult at the moment, perhaps an extra prayer or two.......

During these troubled days, here's a simple sheet entitled When Mass cannot be celebrated.
