On 12 May the Government announced that the earliest churches are likely to re-open would be Saturday 4 July, and then, presumably, only provided a risk assessment had been made showing hygiene facilities and and social distancing will be possible. I'm sure, you all, like, me, have your fingers firmly crossed for a return to some semblance of normality, whatever normality is likely to be.

As the days run into other days, whatever they might be, I'm sure many of you will sympathise with this poor contestant! I don't, of course!!

Love to, and prayers for, you all and your families and those closest to you.

As most of you will remember from the fabulous spread at our 50th Anniversary Party, Molly's husband, Mark, has his own catering business, Dulwich Pantry. He's currently offering frozen boxes for home delivery, and would be happy to provide you with some really excellent products. Do have a look at his Website, and get in touch with him from the site's Contact page if you feel he can help you out.

Prayers, please

Please remember in your prayers Suzanne's Mum who remains unwell in a nursing home in Ireland. We continue to pray for Maria's recovery, Veronica's husband Graham and sister Monica, Ken's niece Beth, Mary & Frank Elliott and my Mum & Dad, Sheila and David. With visiting the sick and needy being so difficult at the moment, perhaps an extra prayer or two continues to be warranted.

During these troubled days, here's a simple sheet entitled When Mass cannot be celebrated.

St. Bart's Memories No. 37

30 years ago on 26 May 1990 we departed for Rome!

Wow! Where did that 30 years go?!!!

Carole and Mike Winch have compiled a reminiscence - so, turn the volume up and click on the image above to start the slide show! Many thanks to them both. It will bring back many happy memories for some of us, and be a revelation to others perhaps!!

There are a few more pics from 1990 and from 1994 on our Website here. I think I still have the videos that were made in both 1990 and 1994, converted to DVD, tucked away somewhere. Perhaps we should have a showing?!

For your coffee breaks

YouTube's advertising seems to be getting rather intrusive now. Sometimes just refreshing your browser will overcome a lengthy advert before a video even begins. At all other times use the ad breaks to top up your glass!
