St. Bartholomew's Polyphony Choir UPDATE  SEPTEMBER 2020

Are we getting closer to a return to singing in church? There have been suggestions that we might be, including this from the Royal School of Church Music (thanks, Jeannette!) and this. It's not wholly pertinent to us, but might be the start of something. As always, we will have to wait for the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales to issue official guidelines, which then need to be promulgated by the Archdiocese of Southwark and then interpreted at a local level at St. Bart's. Phew!

I've even bought a new recessional to play after the first Mass we are able to sing at..... unless it's during Lent or Holy Week, of course!! Love to you all, Tony x

Prayers, please

Please offer a special prayer for Terry Jupp; she had a fall a while ago, and is currently having to wear a neck brace.

Rosemary continues to recover from her broken ankle, Suzanne's Mum remains unwell in a nursing home in Ireland. We continue to pray for Maria's recovery (she's still experiencing a lot of pain and problems), Veronica's husband Graham and sister Monica, Ken's niece Beth, Mary & Frank Elliott and my Mum & Dad, Sheila and David.

With visiting the sick and needy being so difficult at the moment, perhaps an extra prayer or two continues to be warranted.

St. Bart's Memories No. 38

I wonder if some of you might recognise any of the people in the image below (or even be one of them!). Click on it for a much larger version. Brian O'Donohoe had just been married to Patricia Goodman on 5 October 1957. More on this occasion down the page here.
