St. Bartholomew's
Polyphony Choir

UPDATE
AUGUST 2022

Dear all,

Parish Annual General Meeting 2022

This will take place in the Hall from 19:30 on Wednesday 12 October. I have been advised that, ahead of the occasion, "We will also have a suggestions box at the back of the Church, so that parishioners can make suggestions, raise issues of concern or request information, please inform members of your group about this." I have now done so!

Mass of the Ages

Several of you commented that this item from last month's Update was 'unavailable' when you tried to view it:

Mass of the Ages Episode 2 - A Perfect Storm (a sobering, longish [1' 13''] and worthy watch - look out for our own Cardinal Heenan's profoundly prophetic words) - YouTube

Now find out why it was removed - YouTube, and....

..... now watch it! - Mass of the Ages

Choir Party

Huge thanks to Molly and Mark for the splendid catering for our Choir Party, Father Deo for continuing the long-standing tradition of the parish paying for our drinks, and to Jeannette for the organisation of everything and getting the drinks from the supermarket shelves to the hall. What a lovely evening!!

Choir Dates List 2022/23

The latest Dates List, dated 10 July, is to be found here. Print and pin to your notice boards, Blu Tack to your fridges, transfer to your diaries etc., etc.! Cantors should 'pencil in' the later dates at this stage.

Forthcoming Poly Masses

Herewith the anticipated Music List for the Choir's annual Thanksgiving Mass on 20 September.

Our 2 October Mass will be said for the intention of St. Bartholomew's Polyphony Choir at Terry Folorunso's request.

I'll be putting together the Masses for the autumn term and tentative music for Christmas over the summer. As each one is completed it will appear down the home page on our Website.

Forthcoming Plainchant Masses

The anticipated Music List for the September Mass will be available from our Website in due course.

Forthcoming Hymn Choir Masses

The next 11:30 Hymn Choir Mass is on 25 September.

I  do hope you all enjoy a wonderfully happy summer, and look forward to seeing everyone again on Tuesday 13 September. Love, Tony x

Prayers, please

Please continue your prayers for Terry F. that she makes a complete recovery; she remains frail and is receiving care several times a day. Also for John, Jane, Terry J. and Mary & Frank.

Also.....

Mary E. has said she hopes to be back with us soon and Kitty hopes to return in September. Jan will be back when she returns home, and Veronica still intends to be back with us at some stage.
