St. Bartholomew's
Polyphony Choir

UPDATE
DECEMBER 2022

Dear all,

As I write this Christmas is approaching far too rapidly! I'm having to take an increasing part of the care of my elderly parents (you think I'm old?!), which takes me down to Newton Abbot about once a month. Happily, they are still in their own home, and that's the way we (my sister,  two brothers and I) wish to keep it for as long as they're, with the care they're receiving, able to cope. I try hard to avoid the occasions when we're singing at Mass, but may not always be able to do this as time progresses.

I shan't repeat my plea for your commitment to attend between now and the beginning of January; you have the Dates List, and even though it doesn't generally include Tuesdays....... (does that count as repeating it?!) it does include Tuesday 3 January!!!

A huge 'Thank you' to Sitso, for bringing, with his direction, a new breath of life to our Choir. It has made such a difference (and will, hopefully, increasingly help us improve into the future).

Wishing all of you, and yours, a wonderful Christmas - may your turkeys be huge, your stockings overflowing, and the baubles on your Christmas trees plentiful. Most of all, I pray that the sight of the crib in your homes brings you joy, hope and peace in these troubled times.

Love, Tony x

St. Bart's Memories No. 57

Our Christmas Concert Programme 15 years ago

I always think of A maiden most gentle as NEW! Also dates from when I had the wrong spelling of a word in v.3 of Hark the herald! I'll always be grateful to Gordon Clark for spotting that!! I subsequently picked up on the further error in the title all on my own!! Both had gone unspotted for many years!!!

December Jigsaws

For the grown-ups, a tricky 70 piece Nativity & for the youngsters an easy 12 piece Nativity!
