Dear all,
We resume Choir practices after the summer break on Tuesday 12 September - as in recent years, we return a little later than has been traditionally the case in September to allow those who take a post-schools summer hols to do so.
We have our annual Mass of Thanksgiving at 20:00 on Tuesday 19 September, the day of the Choir's 54th Birthday. Father Deo has very kindly agreed to celebrate the Mass with us. We will present him with his 70th birthday (9 August, whilst he is on holiday) present from the Choir at that Mass. I will be circulating a bag for donations towards the Cross roller-ball pen he really liked for the occasion on 12 September: it was rather more than I had anticipated (£194.07), so please be as generous as you're able to! If you're not available to be present on 12 September, and wish to 'promise' a donation, then please do let me know how much so I am able to add you to my remunerations list. Thank you.
The Choir Committee meets the day after, Wednesday 20 September, at Jeannette's home. If you wish to raise anything for discussion or consideration, please do mention it to me, Jeannette, Molly, Sabina, Joan, Suzanne or Richard.
Here is a very early, very provisional, unchecked, pre-draft draft of the possible Christmas Music. Much may change, and much depends of whether Sitso is able to be with us. Fingers very crossed!
Please ensure you have the Orchestra's 50th Concert at 19:30 on the evening of 26 November, at All Saints, West Dulwich, in your diaries and on your calendars. The Rehearsal will be on the day of the Concert at 14:30, and hopefully the Mass will be rehearsed first, leaving you time to return home before the performance should you wish to do so - I will be sending out a separate email during August regarding the details and options for this occasion. The Orchestra was born out of our Poly Choir.

Choir Dates List 2023
The latest Dates List, dated 25 June, is to be found here. I understand Bishop Philip Moger (our new Area Bishop) will be conferring Confirmations at 'our' Mass on Christus Rex at 12 noon. As always, the latest update of the Dates List will always be found on the Choir's Website here as they are produced.

Forthcoming Plainchant Masses
The proposed music for 17 September, 15 October and 12 November (Remembrance). There will be no prior rehearsal for the 17 September Mass.
Forthcoming Hymn Choir Masses
